NEW YEARS BLOG

A New Year's resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to changing a unhealthy habit, finishing projects or often a lifestyle change that is considered to be positive. These commitments normally go into effect on New Year's Day. Looking back at the material covered in class so far, what commitment are you going to make to improve your overall wellness this coming year? After posting your comment please respond to two of your classmates commitments. Happy New Year!

  1. For my New Years resolution I am going to continuing trying to be more positive so I could make better choices and gain a lot more faith in other people instead of just judging them in a negative thinking view

#1. I think realizing that working hard is a neccesity is a great new years resolution and do not forget to have fun along your journey in whom ever you become :)
#2. It is good to not judge negative first and it takes a lot to do so due to the fact that now a days many people just realize and acknowledge the negative so stay positive and realize that everyone is different. :) Good resoulution.

  6. This new year, I am going to continue working hard in school and out. I will be more open to people and ideas, yet maintain my values and not let anything or anyone mess with them. I will be me and no one else, and I will have a great year.

baby_soo, no being lazy. You'll have enough time for that later on in life. Enjoy and be active now.

Sora101, who are you? And I like your new years resolution.

  10. For my New Years resolution, I will continue to work hard and do my best to achieve success. I would like to become a better listener to people and their ideas because I may be able to learn from people by what they say.

#1 In response to Josue's post, I agree with his resolution and it is like what I am trying to do. I feel that listening to people's thoughts and being open and accepting to them will develop your mind to think in new ways that can benefit you for the good.

#2 In response to baby_sso's resolution, I think that it is always good not to be lazy and to work hard. Laziness probably cripples people's ability to reach their full potential, but if you work hard and do your best, the rewards will be fulfilling.

  11. My New Year's resolution is to strengthen my relationship with my parents. To show them that no matter where I'm at or whoever I'm with, they could trust me. I want to improve the communication between my mom & I. Lastly I will fulfill that promise I did to my dad--I will become a doctor & change the world in a positive way.

    This is my year 2011<3

1.Dami: Today, when you put your all to everything you want you will get that and so much more later on in life. You came here alone & look where you stand now. Laziness will definitely not take you anywhere.(:

2.Emmitt: Your resolution is honestly what you really need to work on. I think that is the reason why you have your moments with other people. So hope it works out with you so we won't have our little arguments here & there.

    Happy Holidays everyone.

  14. My new years resolution is to control my attitude around my family. They do a lot for me and sometimes I forget and take it for granite, so I'm going to work on not doing that anymore this year.

    1. Emmitt: I think your resolution is a good one, and like pita said, it is something you need to work on, because i know we have had our feuds as well.

    2. Kiara: I really like your new years resolution, because it is something I definitely need to work on, being more open minded because you cant get through life without being open minded.

  15. My new years resolution is to understand and set more realistic views of my self. Sometimes when I'm with certain people I try and act tough while with others I act as if I don't know anything. I also, am going to try to be more understanding and realistic to people of my age group.

Erika: I think that it's great that you have realized something you need to work on and are going for it. I believe, being the person you are, you can achieve this. I too sometimes take my family for granted but in the end, they will always be there for you.
Lupe Martinez: Awesome! I'm glad that your trying to work to improve the relationship you have with your parents. As long as you set your mind to something and are open to new ideas you can achieve anything.

  16. my new years resolution is to make sure i try and fix my anger management problem because its not healthy for me or for my family and friends. having an anger management problem can set you back so much that when you finaly realize it you see how much damage you've brought upon your ownself so that is why i want to change it. i also want to make it a MAJOR priority to watch over my health because im animec and it brings a lot of difficulty into a persons life to be dealing with this blood problem.

Erika: i like it how you've considered how those around you will feel if you begin to act up and how you want to make yourself better for the ones you love :)

Tobias: kind of the same thing im telling erika but a lil different is that i love how youre considering the feelings of others before your own and best of all is that your considering your Moms feelings, the one who supports and loves you. its great how you want to make things better because it shoes your maturing. GREAT JOB!. :)

  21. My new years resolution is to take life and school more seriously. Life is not a joke and i need to step it up on my work and grades if i want a good future.

    response to:
    Tobias

Thats good. Most people dont respect themselves and have low self esteem. Keep up with that resolution because it can effect you in the long run.

    response to:Erika

I like your resolution. Many teens are having family problems at this moment and im sure we take our family for granted. We always complain and give them a hard time, but with you doing this im sure they will appreciate it and be happy.

  22. i thought long and hard about this because i really didnt have a new years resolution until my mom and my dad took me to a room and they told me that no matter what happens, what i do, whta i say, they will always love and then they started like tearing up and eventually i did too. so i guess my new years resolution would be to improve myself not only academically but also mentally physically and socially. mentally because i think negative about life. and that shouldn't be the way to think life is great it really is i see it sometimes maybe i just don't want to admit it but its there and maybe that happiness doesn't embrace me sometimes but its out there. physically because the way i show things may not always be the best way. and because i want to be healthier at choices and mind and body. socially because i tend to be very anti-social with people and especially with my family. i always ignore them and try to escape fun events with them I'm so used to being closed up in my room or alone that i hate opening up. i realized that I'm not trying i realized that i want stuff to come to me and its not always going to be that way or maybe rarely be that way. and that is my new years resolution (:

  24. My New Years Resolution is to walk my own path in life and do what I want to do and not let others tell me what I can or can't do. Because for a long time some people have told me that I'll never amount to anything, and for some reason I believed them. For no reason at all I had believed what they said about me, and I never did anything to prove them wrong. But no more, this year I'll show 'them' that they can't tell me what I can or can't do, It's My Life and I decide what I do with it. No one tells me what I will do in life or controls my life it's mine and mine alone. I make my own choices and I make own Destiny, to live my own life the way I want to live, and let no one bring me down and to go all the way to achieve my goals and my dreams. To create my own destiny, and leave behind my legacy that I made with my hands, to show everyone that had ever doubted me and my abilities that they were wrong and to not judge me just by appearance or whatever, that I'm Not to be underestimated, to Live my Life my way, that's my Resolution.
